Thumbs down First day at the track

Whats wrong with this picture? (except that my reaction time sucks!)

This is the time slip:

Temp: 88 deg.
Relative Humidity: 39
Absolute Barometer: 30.04

R/T: .493
60' : 2.395
330' : 6.546
660' : 9.905
MPH: 73.35
1000' : 12.805
1/4: 15.261
MPH: 93.05

I have an 03 CL-S 5AT with just an injen CAI and some neuspeed springs. I had my system and spare still in the trunk when I ran it but can that make much of a difference? I found it hard to get traction with my crappy stock michelin tires too!

RT doesnt matter.

system probably weighed you down.

and 60' isnt great. remove the system and drop the 60' you should be into mid 14s.

Yea i can, a little bit. When i was brake torquing at 2000 I was just spinning all through first, with 1000 rpms there was no spin but it felt slow so at 1500 rpms there was a bit of spin but not too bad. I think I should be fine if I get new rims with sticky tires.

60' 2.19 michelin pilot sports. launch off idle. seems to work better for me.

my 1/4 mile is 14.81
my trap speed is between 97.3-98.1 though.
i don't understand why my trap speed is so high, but my time isn't in the low 14's?

Let me know too, it'd be sweet to have a few CLs there and to meet new people.

Yeah, we should get a mini meet going to the drags. scuc, the pressure will be riding on you, the 6spd, to give us CL's a good showing with some fast times... hehe

Eddie, I got em from CleanCL here on the forum. He had two sets, one set that he jet-hot coated and kept for himself, and his old set that he no longer needed. I'm gonna swing by Matthel's to get it put one next weekend.
