Finally Plug N Play Navi-> Video!!

Finally someone has comeup w/ Plug N Play navi -> video module. No more wires to cutt.

Going price is 400~500 bucks

from accord fourm:

"It was rather easy, Power, InfraRed Eye Receiver, Navi/Tuner Switch, and FM Modulation wires were routed under back seat bottom cushion, under carpet, under center console. Power to the unit comes from one of the extra power outlet plugs. Unit fits on Navi bracket in trunk, antennas on rear windows, side or rear. Sound comes thru the FM Modulation unit until Blitzsafe makes an adapter for our cars for direct input to the stock headunit, but for tv volume FM modulation is fine... have not had any problems. You can add up to three audio sources, VCR or DVD+MP3 or Video Game Consoles or Rear View Camera in addition to the TV. Navi works as it did in the background. I have some information on the tuner specs I can email if anyone is interested. "

Thanks

I had the same question, I looked at the other links above and sent a email here: productinquirynow@yahoo.com This was their response:
"Thanks for the inquiry. Attached is the file for more information about our Nav-TVTuner system. Also the link to one of the Acura-CL.com member by the member name of Webhead that had installed one of our system in his 2002 CLS. You can also ask his opinion about the system.

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=94431

The price of the Nav-TVTuner system is US$ 495.00, the blitsave is US$ 75.00, and camera is US$ 150.00. Delivery time right now is about week. As you have been following the forum, you know that our price is very low comparing to other "homemade looking" unit that has no function at all. No system out there that can come close comparing to our system in terms of picture&product quality and the built-in features. The group buy is just an introductory price to introduce our system to the market. It had ended 5 weeks ago and we'll probably not going to do it again. What we can offer now is Free shipping to you. We'll be glad to answer any question.

Thanks,

Sam. "

Unfortunately the group buys are all over so the retail price is all they will sell it for, but now they will ship it for free! Still a great deal in my mind since no wire cutting is needed!

From my understanding the Blitzsafe unit allows you to plug any device that uses RCA plugs, converts the signal so that it can be played through an AUX function on the stock radio. Basically its a cleaner way of getting audio through the stock radio instead of using an FM modulator. Only problem is that you have to have something hooked up to it in order for the AUX function on the stock deck to work!

This unit is awesome, you got 2 or 3 inputs(I forgot the exact number), TV tuner, back-up camera feature. I saw it in action in Webhead's car ... just nice, very nice. Well worthed the money. I wished I had Navi now.

The blitzsafe unit hooks up to where you would plug in an additional cd player in the trunk. There is a 12 pin plug on the back of the head unit. You enable it by pressing the CD button twice. The NAVI conversion utilizes this input to get audio to the stereo system.

Thanks Silverknight for posting the pics:

The unit works as advertised. It has two sets of connectors, one that you connect to the NAV unit and the other you connect to the harness. When the unit is off, NAV signal passes directly to the screen. The convertor unit has 3 AV inputs and 2 AV outputs. The unit automatically switch to input 3 when the car is shifted into reverse (if you have the reverse input hook up) for the reverse camera. There is a IR remote sensor for the remote control, RF modulator for sound and a diversity antenna for TV. It took me a morning and half afternoon to install. I have audio thru a blitzsafe adaptor. Little experience here, so it wasn't difficult. I have a reverse camera hooked up and am looking for a DVD player. Any recommedations?

Get the DVD player like mine. It's compact enough to stick in anywhere.
