Finally! headers and pulley are in

I've had the Alphawerks Headers and UR Crank pulley sitting in the garage for about 2 months and now they're finally in. I had a shop install them for $250 (3.5 hours). They had installed OBX headers on a TLS before and weren't impressed with their fit but said the Alphawerks headers fit fine but they were tight - not much flex where it's supposed to flex. They also noted that the O2 sensor was darn close to another component...(tranny? i forget what they said). They were also surprised at how much I got them for considering how much Comptechs are.

Anyway, I haven't had a chance to open her up but so far so good.

Enjoy.

Did you have it done at PPI? I think the TLS they installed the OBX headers on was my old one.

Have fun with teh headers!

Me too!!!

I'm about 2 seconds from dropping some loot on AW groupbuy...

So it's that much of a difference?

Even in a tl-p?

I may bite tonight at some point.

is that you ryan? yeah, i got it done at ppi - they weren't too enthused that i didn't bring them comptechs to install thinking that they'll have to mess with the fitment. they were saddened to hear about your TLS.

Enjoy the headers and pulley combo.

I did them both separate from each other and I can honestly say they both make a noticeable difference in their own way.

No biggie, My OBX crap headers were lettign the 02 sensor toucht the headers and trip off the check engine light. That gave me some weird horspower gains and the worst gas mileage (go figure). I had the shop relocate the bung and cap off the old one, with a new sensor, everything was back to normal.

Well the butt dyno definitely tells me that there is a bunch more power!! if i'm not mistaken, the engine is also revving a lot easier...getting up to 5000+ rpm with ease. i don't know if that's the headers or the crank pulley. i also notice a different engine note...a little more rumble at the 2750 to 3500 rpm range. it's a different car now that's for sure.

so far the alphawerks headers and UR crank pulley are a Considering i only paid about $600 for the parts and installation, I absolutely cannot complain.

Good luck to those considering the headers. You won't be disappointed!

That's the pulley. First time i drove it after the install i noticed how quick the tach moves compared to b/f it was on.

Sounds like you're enjoying that new power.

Cmark how do you like the HR with Tokico set up? How was the feel compared to stock? I know there is a difference but do not want to sacrifice to much. I come from the Mitsu camp and dealt with slammed cars and the crap drive. Any reason you choose HR over Comptech? Thanks!
