this was the first tranny, the tranny was slipping but i had read somewhere on this forum that people used lucas trans fix and it helped, well i went to buy it poured it in drove about 4 miles and the tranny was gone. i cant really afford a new card right now either.
good luck my brother. if you do have to buy another ride, just hound autotrader for weeks / months if u have to... you will find something real nice for a deal... Thats how I stumbled across both my 98 3.2 TL and my 03 CLS 6SPD. u could always lease a G35 or better yet a new altima???

I'd suggest calling AAMCO or some where like that, and ask how much they charge to repair a transmission. Shouldn't be any more than $2,000. If that.

when i took my car to AAMCO if you guys all remember my tranny gave out. The guy said 1495 to open it...i think it will be around 900 to fix your torque converter basically the final price he gave me was like 3275 somehow.
But he said i can finance it.
Alright i finally got my car back, been like a month, My dads friend rebuilt my transmission. drives like a charm, but for some reason my exhaust sounds deeper. final cost was 1300.

you taking her to the SoCal meet? it's at the Whittier Narrrows park. just south of you.
whittier narrows park is just 5 minutes from where i live, i have a question about my keys tho, for some reason only 1 key works, the valet and the spare cranks the car but it wont start, any ideals?
because when we replace the tranny, we also replace the PCM if it hasn't been done in the past. and the tech didn't save your immo datas to transfer to the new one.
go back there with your other keys and they will program them for free
