Picked up my car yesterday. I gotta say I'm very impressed so far. 1st gear just wants to freakin scream to redline, so I gotta be careful until it's broken in. I'm being kind until I hit 1k miles, but I can already tell it's got some ballz.

It's definitely gonna need some suspension mods though. It rides pretty nice, but doesn't corner with the flatness that I would like. Maybe in a couple months I'll be able to afford some springs/struts and a swaybar. I already have some 235/45/17 Kuhmo Supra 712's that will be thrown on in a couple weeks.

I'll throw up a shitload of pics in a couple minues in the gallery too.

The Mustang gets the hp mods for now. The CL will get springs and struts when $$ allows. First it gets some tint though.

And yeah Howell is about 1/2 hr from Farm Hills. I actually work in Farm Hills (13 & NW Hwy).

Supposedly a family member may want to buy it, but if not it's goin up for sale. The tires will be donated to the CL, the 17's will probably be sold, and two of the 10's with the amp will go in the CL.

 

Congrats... You won't regret the 6speed. I traded my '01 CLS black in for an '03 CLS 6speed Athracite this last Janurary. Load more fun to drive. And with the CT intake/headers/springs/sways and Michelin 255/50ZR17 Pilot Sports AS's, car rips and handles very good for a sport luxury. I'll be getting the Konis and CT Strutbar/b-pipe/exhaust next month.

When I had the auto, I was never inspired to do the mods, but after upgrading to the 6speed, I'm having trouble hanging onto my $$$

BTW ... you've got the basic car and color as the CT prototype CLS 6 speed. But you better wait and do all these most a little at a time.

Actually, I'd like to take a drive up to Ubly. It's only about 45 minutes for me and an hour for you, and supposedly you can get a ton of runs in.

I would definitely try Ubly before I went to Milan again. I've been there twice this year so far and it was the same old story. Sit in line for an hour only to get a shitty time. Norwalk is really the track to go to for crazy good traction.

I don't plan on taking the CL out for awhile because I want it to get nice and broken in before I start beating on it.
