Finally got me a race with the almighty Maxima!
This car is a joke! I was driving to work this morning (7:00am) and we were both stopped at a light. He looked at me and revved his motor. I figure what the hell- light turns green and we're off. I spin my tires a little and so does he. He jumps out just a bit and then its all me up to 80 mph. I did not destroy him but the front of his car was at my REAR DOOR the whole time. Yes- you did read that right- I was in my 98 Accord V6!!!!! The maxima guys should really keep their mouths shut on this board until their new motor comes out. I can now talk from experience.

Was it a 2000/2001? You never saw the tail lights, so you might not know. 
When I read 'rear door', I thought it was a typo. Nice kill in the accord. I'm sorry to say, this will not hush the Max owners.

Every .1 sec holeshot one way or the other will equate to a car length at that speed.
Not saying it's not faster, just that this isn't exactly evidence.
Give me a pretty imperceptable advantage of .5 sec on a C5 Vette, clearly a faster car than mine, and we'll need to go to 105-110 for him to catch me.

I kept that distance all the way from 80-120pmh. Once both cars got into third gear, I barely pulled at all, if any, and the distances stayed equal till the end.

to reply to this i can say i trounced my brothers 98 lx-v6 accord in my 2k max auto. am i saying your race didnt exist? no, but what im saying is that so many variables go in to it that you cant base an opinion of what car is faster on one race, especially since you dont even know the other person. any maxima owner who knew anything about racing knows that you have to powershift at the redline, and it didnt sound like he did that. ill give you that the cl-s is faster than a max auto, but not an accord.
