Finally got it in.

Finished up the install of the SC this last Saturday.

I can't believe how hard this thing pulls and I'm only running the stock pulley. The additional torque is all over the powerband. I agree with what others have said. It is like dropping a larger motor into the car. It's so much fun to drive Traction is really a problem now but we all know the stock tires suck already.

My only issue is that I've got a harmonic around 2,900 - 3,500 RPM. I've got an appointment w/ Comptech on the 10th so they can check it out then. Other than that, the install was clean and fired right up with no issues.

I'll be dropping in the Catback Exhaust this weekend and the Toyo T1S's soon thereafter.

I'll get it Dyno'ed on the 10th. I hope I'm 300WHP but time will tell. The SC can be picked up for less than $4K. In my opinion, it's well worth it.

2003 6MT

Stock pulley should put you around 290 whp... HBP would bump that closer to 320.

Congrats on the install, looks great. Definitely get the exhaust. The sound is crazy.

I also highly reccomend you get the gauges to monitor what is going on. Many people have had their FPR fail causing a lean condition that could cause damage after extended use.

I have the part numbers for the gauges I purchased if you'd like. They match the silver face of the stock gauges quite well. I'd also reccomend the Mugen Cooling modifications as well. Even with the added heat from the S/C my temp gauge is one bar lower than before the S/C was installed.

I installed the Mugen mods with the SC. I'm not sure if I want to go with the gauges. I like the clean interior look. I may have to relent to protect the investment though.

How much did the gauges and pods run you? Did you go with Boost and Fuel Pressure?

The exhaust is sitting in the garage. Can't wait to see how it sounds with them on.

Looks super clean! Congrats! did you run a dyno before you put the SC on? Just would like hard numbers on actual WHP difference. Looking into setting up 00'TL-P w/ SC...

Thanks for the replys everyone. I look forward to driving this beast whenever I can.

For some reason, the SC has messed up my gas gauge. It seems to be dropping a lot quicker than before the install

Did it myself. I took my time with it to make sure that I didn't miss anything. I probably spent between 15-20 hours total working on it. Working on my car is my therapy so I was in no rush and enjoyed the time.

I would agree with Scalbert. This is probably easier than the header install but more detailed with more steps. Everything is very well laid out and fits like a glove.

Sorry - No dyno before. I'm not sure how well they do on the TL-P but I would think you could add more boost due to the lower compression. I'm sure you'll enjoy the added HP and torque.

I've been itching ever since you posted your install. You're right - I am enjoying the car quite a bit. I'll hopefully have some numbers to report next week.

Available Wednesday the 10th at Sacramento Raceway??? I've never gone to the track so I hope I don't embarass myself too much.
