Well I posted this thread some time ago...and I finally got it fixed.

Turned out that the problem was related to the belt tensioner...they finally replaced it and the noise is now gone. I told them the noise started after the tensioner re-call was done, but of course they did not listen.

Finally got the Manager to go for a ride with me...he heard it and after explaning the tensioner re-call he agreed with me (thanks to Scalbert) that the part seemed to be the source of the problem.
