Finally...black chrome emblems on (pics)!
My black chrome emblems finally came in. It was time to get rid of my ghetto gold emblem since I bought the car. :fingerfawk: These pics don't do them justice (makes them look like regular chrome). The black chrome is just plain SEXY!

New black chrome emblem:
Special thanks to Ron and Streeteffectz!
What do you guys think?

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
More pics of the girl in the back!
Those black chrome emblems look great! Too much light on the last few pics I guess makes them look whitish but the first pic from a higher angle looks sweet!

They do not sell a black chrome grill surround or the wing piece, but they do sell the black chrome emblem. It comes as a package with the back emblems.
And Binh has the Mugen grill so no front emblem is needed.

Unfortuantely our emblems are plastic and during the powdercoating process they would melt.

How many times can that link be reposted?
I've already asked, our emblems would melt during the powdercoating process. Don't believe me? Put them in your oven at home at 450 degrees for about 30 mins.

They do most types of plastics... I've contacted them and asked if their "PermaStar" system would be safe for OEM plastic emblems. If it is possible we'll proceed from there,

Their "Black Chrome Kit" is the identical factory "chrome" badges. It is just called "black chrome" for some reason. It is listed with a factory Part Number and "black chrome" in the sense that we are talking was never offered as an option from the factory.

Reply from Goodrich Technology:
Stephen,
The PermaStar process can be done on plastic parts by using a UV cure liquid instead of the normal powder coating we do as part of our process. However, we are not set up to do plastics at this time. Most of the potential licensees' interested in plastics are planning high production facilities.
Regards,
Patrick
