you can check with the dealer where you bought your car from

Check inside the leather case that your books came in.

yup check in the books. Its called "safe mode"

punch in the code and you are all good. BTW , they are all unique and if you lose it. Then you will have to have the dealer run a search on your particular radio through their database. it sucks.

I have a 01 CLS and my code was located on the outside of the glove box. If you sit in the drivers seat and open the glove box you should see a little white sticker on the side of the outside of the glove box with your five digit code. I called local dealer parts dept and they said to pull the radio and bring it in to get the model/serial numbers. My contact in the service dept said to look in the glove box. Great communication there....

something I just found out today. Are you registed to Acura Owners Link site? I just noticed today that under your vehicle information it tells you your radio code.

No I never put mine in. I'm positive of it. When you sign up for owners link you just put in your VIN and it pulls up all the information of the car. It also has all the specs off my window sticker and I know for sure I didnt put that crap in?!? Seriously go look .. trust me its there.

I couldnt have put it in because my dealer wrote the wrong code in my book. so I didnt realize I had the wrong code til I installed the AEM at 8k miles. but I signed up for owners link like the day I bought the car and it has the right code listed on the site.

hey i found out from acura client services how to find out our serial # for our stock radios without taking out the console to see the serial...

turn the car on, not the ignition (2nd position where electronics are on but motor is off) and turn on the radio to check that the CODE is on the radio. turn off the radio and hold down 1 and 6 simultaneously. turn on the radio while still holding down 1 and 6 and the radio will display 2 screens - U XXXX and L XXXX (x's stand for numbers) the 8 numbers shown will be your radio serial#... worked on my 2001 cl and i called acura and got my radio code

mine is also on the outside of the glove box in my '03 CLS. from the drive's seat if you open the glove box you can see a tag with a code (i think its 5 digits) on the side panel facing the driver.

Everytime I get my oil changed at the dealer, I notice that my radio code is on the receipt. You might want to look at that ... then again, if your dealer wrote the wrong code in your book, they might have the wrong code in their service records.

What good is this 'secret code' if it is displayed so prominently on the glovebox or on work receipts. how stupid.
