Few Problems after Supercharger Install
Few Problems after Supercharger Install
Few things happened today...
1. The Voltage is reading over 4 volts.
2. The Car upon starting stalls out as if it were starved for fuel which caused eventually caused a CEL
Basically when turning the car on I have to keep revving the engine to like 3k RPM off and on until it doesn't try and stall out. Could this just be the computer trying to configure itself?
once its been running for a minute the car drives fine. At 1 point the car was revving by itself from 1k-1,500 as if I had cams.
The whine is intoxicating though, and the car pulls quite nicely

There are two plugs that you have to unplug when you install the blower, when you reinstalled the blower you probally switched them around when you reinstalled everything i think one is for either the vsa or the throttle body and the other is for the idle air control. just find the two plugs that are the same in that area and switch them around, I had the same problem, once i swaped them it was perfect. Who installed it?

And the stalling didn't happen when we started it up the first time. His problems are weird since they seem to not happen everytime. The one thing that stays the same is the ESM is reading 4.7 volts and it doesn't change even when I turn the screw.

I went to visit my mother in Elizabeth... and when I went to go turn it on, it did the samething that happened when I was trying to leave your garage.
Also on the way from Newark to Elizabeth... the RPM's were bouncing up between 1k-1.5k from Newark To Elizabeth... thats when the CEL came on and then when I parked at my mothers house for maybe a 1/2 hour it did the same thing stalling out after trying to turn it on. I have to rev the engine as if I had a hoopty to prevent it from stalling.

Started the car up again...
Car at idle is idling like it has cams done... goes from 1k to 1.5k... I don't think it can cause real damage but I don't want any morons thinking I'm revving at them.

Are you talking about the Fuel Pressure Regulator that goes near the firewall?
If I recall b4 someone mentioned the FPR being set to low and this maybe the case with mine being that this was originally installed on an Accord and I'm running the HBP...
Anyone else can shine some light and provide ideas

Alright so I met up with Withoutcomp1 tonight and plugged in an obd2 and came up with misfires on all cylinders and I was running to lean. We Guestimated looking at my FPR and his and I adjusted it accordingly and the car runs a bit better. The CEL didn't come back on yet.
I also had to purchase a new ESM because Scott couldn't get the Voltage under a 4.4. Another $150 down the drain.

autometer: boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge. (the electrical ones)
A/F ratio: AEM wideband for sure.
Make sure your charge pipe is air leak free also. Maybe you need new spark plugs. I don't know just making little suggestions.
If you're using the standard pulley that comptech provides (3.5lbs) then your fuel pressure should be at 40psi. Hope this helps and good luck
