Ok this is GREAT here...
1. You said that you DROVE a Civic and DRIVE (as in now) a CL.
2. No, actually its smarter to buy a car with lots of aftermarket support, with people to go to for advice, its stupid to get a car wiht none and try and make it run low 1/4's. Unless that car is a CL/TL...but I think we get more support than a Saturn.
3. Some there are saying that Saturns look better than Civics!?! I hate the 01 redesign of the Civic but until then it was one of the best looking compacts around...lets not even get into what that new L300 (or whatever, I follow cars, but not the Saturn's thanks) UUGLY...esp. when it pretends with a CL/TL/Accord next to it...

Dude, their war stories contained races against Yukons and girls in Ford Focus's. And the only Honda they talk about is the civic EX..do any of us drive a civic ex with the ex motor in it. LOL i used to bug my friend and make fun of him for that all the time, he had a purple sc2, i'd tell him to buy a car cover for it or else id be a puddle when he got out of school, the other joke was the performance button, he thought he could beat vettes with that button on.

Please don't come and troll my board. I know there are a lot of people in the war forums that like to say they beat someone when they werent even racing them in the first place. Hell I know a TON of honda and acura owners who are incredibly stupid but I also know a lot that are awesome and knowledgable. First, I want to say that saturns are cheap. Period. However, so is my civic. So is my friend's corolla and sentra. These are are designed to cost the consumer no more than 15K max. To meet this limit, auto-makers are forced to use cheap plastics, metals, etc. A civic is not "better" than a saturn, it is just less "cheap" when put into perspective of the entire auto industry.

In defence of civics, corollas, and sentras, I have never seen a saturn rank higher than than these japanese cars. If I am wrong, I apologize, please provide some scanned pics or link to prove this. Don't give me stats, give me reviews.

Second, why are owners of a $30K luxury coupe picking on owners of a $15K econo-car? It's like michael schmacher telling us that we drive slow, and laugh w/ his F1 buddies about our driving skills. Why?

Third, saturn drivers, civic drivers, acura drivers, whatever. Some are knowledgable and some are just plain dumb BS'ers. BS happens on every forum on the net. They are to be addressed on a case by case basis. Don't put every saturn driver in a bucket just because a few rotten fruits. It's not fair, period.

Fourth, as long as a car has an engine (be it well made or poorly made), people can crank HP/TQ out of it. Yes yes yes, an acura probably has more protential, but I am saying that a saturn can be tuned PERIOD. Provided that saturn owners mod their car with parts, meant to increase performance, I am fine w/ them. A big sticker which says "Saturn" (who gives a sh1t that your car is made by Saturn?) on the wind shield deserves no respect.

Lastly, the members of the extremesaturn board seems a bit out of control. Paint ball guns and rocks out of the sun roof? Patrick, I sincerely hope that your members are just kidding around. By intentionally causing damage to personal property is an fedral offense, so it 1st degree murder (causing premature death to another human being, INTENTIALLY with ILL intentions in mind.).

Saturns are decent everyday drivers, so what if you can't mod them. As far as war stories (which I haven't even read) we have some ridiculous ones as well.

 

They arent serious and aren't really out of control. You have to remember that this is the internet and people talk all kinds of BS because they are behind a computer and not facing someone in real life. Also when you think about what they were talking about, F&F scenes come to mind? Some people are just to young and or ignorant to know any better. I just brush off a ton of stuff people say.

I must say that I got spanked bad by a cl before I went turbo. Very clean and sporty vehicles.
