hello,

What exactly does the fenderwell trim protect??

I was checking out the A&H Motorsport catalog section at http://www.ahmotor.com/product/ahmcat7.htm, what i really need is the "DOOR EDGE GUARD SETS"... dont know why they don't have one for Acura. A friend told me I can just get a generic set at Pepboys... anyone have those? How well do they fit?

The edge of the fender around the wheel well is pretty fragile and when hit [by someone's door] is very prone to denting and paint chipping. The plastic lip trim will help to prevent this as evident by the numerous dents in the [replaceable] plastic fenderwell trim on my last vehicle. So far so good on my CL.

Ken nailed it. Protects the edge of the fender well similar to what you are looking for on the door edge.

I got dealer installed door edge guards which look pretty standard except they really glued them on - not a slip on or "sticky tape" application. Otherwise, there is nothing special about this guard that makes it a "CL only" product.

As already mentioned the fenderwell trim does offer some fender protection. They were very easy to install and in the case of a white car they help visually somewhat towards contrasting the cars color. Ahmotors does sell them for around $75. Still hopfully looking for some body side moulding for the CL.

I have the fenderwell trim, and they helped out. I have a couple of scratches on the trim, that would have been on the paint or dented my body had I not had it.

Comes in handy, I recommend it.

I am looking for the body side moulding too.. I tried a honda dealership to get the accord coupe body side moulding but the angles were off... so I guess we gotta wait then.

I got Body Side Molding from the dealer - it was standard BSM stuff - not accord molding. I also bought some at an auto parts dealer for the rear bumper but haven't put it on yet -

I yanked the door guards off of my car at the dealership. I didn't like the way they looked. No probs so far...

Hey Mike, my dealer said that there was no body side mouldings for the CL. What was the part number of yours. Keep in mind I've got the PDG version.
