Fender4, help, tranny fluid change

I plan to do my own tranny fluid change soon. I know you have done it yourself before. Please give me a step by step tutor. Thanks in advance

Old wise tale:
"With all the transmission woes" regarding the slush boxes, all Acura has to do is find you at fault over a transmission fluid change" and your screwed if ANYTHING goes wrong with your tranny. I was going that route and decided it wasn't worth it. I do my own oil change, tire rotation etc......but don't dare touch that tranny fluid........just my two cents !

Gear heads, please don't flame me !

Appreciate your concern but changing tranny fluid is no rocket science to some of us. The important thing is to put in the same amount you took out(got to measure it). Not over and not under

That is exactly my point ! All Acura need to hear from your is "yes I changed my tranny fluid last"........so what about it ? All they need is that and they can blame you for "too much fluid or not enough".....my point is....it's not worth the 80 buck and the risk ! I agree it doesn't take a rocket engineer to change fluid, but given the history, I wouldn't touch it ! It's to your advantage......

I'm not going to get into the debate of self repair,, just keep records and receipts,,,,

The correct trans flush procedures are from both JENS and Acura,,
Nine Qts total z1

1)drain out the 2.7 qts
2) fill with 2 qts
3) run for 3-4 min shifting between gears and reverse yes keep foot on brake, "NO don't drive"
4) repeat drain, fill, run.. 2x more times
5) fill with 2.7qts ( mine holds 3 qts)

I did this the last time at the local corner oil change place,,, they charged me twenty dollars labor. Used my oil. they drained and filled, I shifted thru the gears... BUT I now have a record/receipt for a oil change at my cars 45k mark... Also I do this myself every 15k miles,,

Have FUN
