According to the guiness world record book:

The fastest accerlation by a production car
the car was piloted by Graham Hathaway a Ford RS200 Evolution on May 25 1994 - 0-96km/h - /0-60mph in 3.07 sec
Cosworth BOT/E 2.137 ltr engine 630 bhp

Now thats squeezing some power out of a small displacement

COSWORTH, that's all you need to read!!! Put an Indy car engine into something that light and off you go!!!!!! Imagine how fast F1, Indy, CART, and Stock Cars go 0 - 60!!!!! Low to High 2's???? Maybe high 1's?????

The Hennessey Venom 800, big cousin to the stock Viper GTS makes 0-60 in 2.43 secs-what do you think
