As far as SS goes.

Now in SS do you have to get off the accelerator to have it shift. I know I have been in 2nd and been hard on the accel and upshifted into 3rd,why staying on the accel and it hit the limiter bounced down a few hundred rpms and shifted. If you get off the accel i know it shifts pretty quick. Any of you ever had this happen?
I've had it happen.
I think the transmission is under more strain because we have a seizing torque converter on WOT (and the SS isn't particularly quick at shifting anyway). If you let off the gas a little bit then the slush shift feature kicks in through the viscous fluid shifting system.
I'm just guessing about this, but I think that the torque converter has to release before shifting, but I'm not sure. Does anyone else know if this is the reason?

I always shift up without letting up on the accelerator, I have never had a problem. What I do want to know is, do you all downshift to a stop light. Lets say the light is red and your in 4th, do you down shift or just stop and let the SS do the shifting? Is one better than the other?

Also, for me this car is too quiet for SS mode, I can't hear the rev's of the engine as a normal manual car. I use to have a 93 civic hatchback DX and it didn't even come with a tach from the factory, but you could just hear and feel when it has to upshift and downshift. I hope the new CL 6 speed has more of a sporty driver feel to it. But I don't really know how they could incorporate that better, maybe take out some of the sound deading material and shorten up the airbox resonator so the engine is louder????
no i step on the gas pedal when i shift the gear.it is design the way as f1 racing car does..haha...if u release the gas pedal and then shift .the car is going to vibrate a lot.i try that before and the time is not good..i mean the acclerate time
