the famous squeak
the famous squeak
I did a search and found some older discussions about front end squeaking but no "for sure" answers. I have 35K miles on an 03 6MT CLS. The squeak occurs with each turn of the steering wheel. When the car is parked I can replicate the sound by pushing on the driver's side front fender.
One clue: the dealer put new rotors on the car last month.
Any ideas of what to look for would be appreciated. I always like to tell the dealer what is wrong before they start ripping parts out!
Thanks,
Blackdog

Bad strut? Does the corner bounce a lot when you push on it? Is the strut leaking oil?
Or -- Something loose on the suspension/steering rack after the brake install. Jack it up, pull the wheel and give the whole suspension a good shake and see what's loose.

chatter problem........
i have the same shatter probelm in 3rd, 4th, & 5th. sometimes 2nd. had the problem since about 500 mi. have 8K now. i have also been told that the problem is due to acura's ass-hole engineers insuring that this trans is the shittiest design on the market. nothing you can do but suffer with these cheap-ass things.
