Question factory alarm doesn't automatically arm itself anymore

Hi guys,

I had my 2001 tranny replaced the other day. When I got the car back, I noticed the alarm doesn't automatically arm itself anymore. In the past the alarm would activate automatically after a minute or so.

Is there a setting I have to enable to get this to work again?

Thanks,
Mahendra

if the alarm really has not been functional since picking it up from the dealer, i just recommend giving them a ring to set the appt. up to have it checked. unless you are avoiding any charges from the dealer by trying to fix this yourself.

The stock alarm only arms it's self if you disarm it & don't open any doors then it rearms.

the alarms arms itself about 15~20 seconds after locking the doors with the key in the door or with the fob.

there's no option on activating or desactivating the alarm, it just arms itself everytime you lock the doors, unless there's a faulty component.
