F@#$*#@ Acura

I called in to the dealer today.

The finance guy discussed the numbers on the 2004 TL with all options .

They are leasing for about 650/month!!!!!!!!!!

Infiniti G35C with all options 550/month!!!!!!

screw Acura With the depreciation on the 2001 CL-S compared to a comparable Audi, Lexus or BMW, we pissed alot of money away for an OK car.

I wouldnt do the Acura even if they were the same $$$$

You must have bad credit, $550 for a g35 is too high too, you should be able to get the tl and G35 for about $450-500/month for 36- 39months...........its called haggling.

BS Credit score is nearly 800!

You give me the name of a place where you are near 450 for a G35.

I am talking not a stripped down girls package for 450, but G35 C with 6 speed package aero package and Nav

It's not their fault. They have to do it when they introduce a new model. They can't predict the resale values with 100% accuracy. It might depreciate faster than they had expected, so they must leave a margin of error -- lower projected resale value resulting in higher lease rates.

Never lease new models in their first year.

I'm paying 353.99 for my TL-S with 3K down payment. When my brother asked about leasing the TSX when it first came out, they asked for something 480 with 3K down payment.

It's just the way it is.

SHIT, I’ll take a 2004 TL over a G35 any day.
And I’d even pay an extra 100 bucks a month for it.

No way in hell. It is a very tough choice if the price is the same though.

650 a month? if your credit score is 800, you should go through your bank. THey should be sucking your dick with that score. I am assuming you are putting 0 down. Then 650 can happen.

Actually, near perfect scores are not as good as you think.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that perfect or near perfect scores (mean in the high 700's) aren't that appealing to banks and other lending insitutions. Can't remember why, though.

Low to mid 700 is probably the best.

Acura of Troy is greedy, too. They only came down 1,630 on my car.

I leased my G35C 6MT for $490 with $0 down through Ramsey Infiniti. Lease is a 48 month lease.

I don't understand why every mention of G35 and CL-S in the same thread brings out so much hate. It's a freakin' car dudes.

I guess I'm missing something. If you buy a 35K car and finance it for 60 months, you pay $645 (at 3.99% ... going rate with good credit). Why would you lease? And, what does Acura have to do with the deal your getting with your leasing company? You don't have to lease through Honda finance ... go through your credit union, you get a better rate. I just don't understand about what monthly payments have to do with anything. You do your deal on price first!!! Then, figure out how your going to finance it (lease, purchase, 60 months, 72 months, 84 months, whatever). The most important thing is the price not the monthly payments.

I'm paying $317 a month on my CLS. That amount doesn't tell you anything about what I paid or if I got a good deal or anything about the price of the car. I worked that out with my credit union after I made the deal with my Dealer for the car. So, did I miss somthing???

monthly price is the biggest scam dealers use when it comes to screwing you

I remember years ago I was looking to buying the Accord Coupe V6 and I was telling him the price of the car was too high. Instead of giving me a lower price he says what do you expect to pay a month...I was like I dont have a monthly budget I want your lowest price so I can buy through my credit union. Right after that he wasn't interested in the deal and called in somebody else to deal with me.

Its called a financial calculator, it tells you what your payments should be after they try to dick you around........you just need to know the PV(price of car), Interest rate, # of months and the residual value = the monthly price no matter what they try to tell you.

try here to get a good deal on a lease... http://www.leasecompare.com/#

Let me let you in on a secret...there are many factors to determine lease figures & leasecompare has no clue...I guarantee you will still get 'dicked around'...

Leasecompare doesn't determine the selling price, the dealer does. LC doesn't know your credit history, so it still amounts to a vague guess at best. Auto dealers use different methods to arrive at your score than the free credit report you drag to the dealer. LC does not factor in the additional value of leather, navi, demographics, newness of the model, etc. There is more to it than simply Auto or Manual...

If you knew more about leasing, you'd realize that the 'money factor' they are advertising on their G35 sample leases amount to 4.34%, up to 6.336%...for GOOD CREDIT ...How is that getting a good deal?

If you want REAL residual figures, go to the INDUSTRY site & BUY them. $20 for a months worth of residual reports...worth every dime.

Those cheap payments were based on what looks like 6spd, leather & roof...no bose, no navi, no premium package, nothing else.
