Extremely annoying!! I'm about to punch in the window!

OK guys, I got this very annoying "click" rattle coming from the top of the windshield and the other glasses over any kind of small bump. The click is super annoying and makes the car sound like some kind of maintenance-abused 40 year old Russian airliner.

I searched the forums and found just some mention of the headliner in the CL rubbing against the top of the windshield glass? Is this where that click rattle is coming from? How can i get rid of this? Can I use some WD-40 or Silicone grease so the headliner doesn't rattle against the windshield, but how do I go about doing this? Can I actually get to the location of the headliner meeting the glass?

Roll down your windows just a bit and see if the noise goes away...

Also, make sure you don't have any cans or bottles in the console cupholders...

I get a clicking almost static like noise from both the drivers window and 1/2 empty 20oz coke bottles in the cupholder...

Open the sunroof with the "tilt" feature. Lube the black gasket with white grease or whatever. This gets the rear part of the gasket done. Then close it. Then use the "open" feature and go back half way. Now you can lube the front of the gasket. That should help alot if that is what is squeeking, or clicking. Before doing the above if the sound gets quieter when you close the sunroof shade it's the gasket. There is body flex in the roof and a dry gasket will make noises as it rubs on parts up there. Hope this helps.

Could be part of the rear view mirror. There is a piece closest to the windshield that comes off, there are 3-4 wires underneath there which can vibrate against the plastic. I've thought about putting a piece of foam in there to keep those wires from moving around, but just haven't put it on top of my priority list.

Rarely does it, it just depends on how you put them in there and what kind of glasses they are.
