Extended Warranty

So,

I finally hit the 50,000 mark today on my drive into work, And the Car is now 1.75 years old.

Have 1 Question:

What does and doesn't the Extended Warr. Cover that the Bumper to Bumper Doesn't ?

Didn't see anything in any other threads.

Thanks

That is also what I thought. However, after speaking to the service manager at my local Acura dealer, he informed me that we actually have up to 56,000 miles to initiate the extended warrranty.

I just spoke to the stealer regarding this very question... they have specific guidelines for which extended warranty u may qualify for. My vehicle is at 55K and have the option of purchasing an additional warranty to cover me up to 100K for $1700.00

Speak to ur local stealer to find out what they can do for you.

I always figured that the Acura extended warranty would cover everything the standard warranty covers.

Just called and found out that the Extended Doen't Cover the headlights, Airbags, Airbag Sensors, no leather, seating. Shit what was the point of paying for it. It covers the tranny and engine. That's about it

Anything safety related on the car has a lifetime warranty.

Example, seatbelts, airbags, airbag sensors should be part of that, abs, etc.

These all have lifetime warranties. Its a national law.

i've called a number of dealers in jersey and have been told that it covers 90% of the vehicle which essentially says nothing since they won't say what makes up that 90%. but i also spoke with precision acura of princeton (which kills me cause its not in princeton) and they said that its the same factory warranty just extended. btw they were also the cheapest at 860 bucks for a 5 yeat / 100K miles with zero deductible

yeah it's roughly an hour on a good day. i know it sounds too good to be true. i didn't bother checking on the seven year cause i figured that i'd hit 100K miles well before 5 years. i'm a smidge over a year now with over 30K.

I put 45k since the type S came out , march 99 so I think 5/100 would be OK but to be on the safe sign I would get 7/100..
