I decided to mesh my grill tonight:

Than I painted it black:

Than I got a little crazy:

Than this happened:

I'll post some better pictures of it completed in daylight.

I'm really happy with how it came out.
I made a jig for both layouts, out of curiosity would anyone be interested in a mesh upper and lower grill if I made a few of them?

I am really liking the mesh grille without the A on it. I have been thinking about trying to do this but do not have any idea how. I am not too big a fan of the C-Mod grille so this is really nice.

I'm thinking of spraying the wing behind the mesh on the stock grill red, just to see what it looks like. I'm going to spray the A red to match and blend.

Here is some daytime pics:

The bottom grill was a b*tch. It's not perfect i'm going to redo it this weekend.
And I decided to leave the A on, it look too plain with out it, like its missing something.

upper grill isn't bad, lower looks crap, hopefully better once you redo it, but like previously mentioned, oem looks much better

The bottom is a tough shape, I tried to fold the edges to secure it. Gen 2 will be flat with a crease in the middle. And i'll solder anchor points on.

you guys not worried about airflow into the rad...etc. it looks great but it does make it bake in there.

for example: lots of trucks ruin their trans because the they add grilles with tighter meshing which heats everything up. Not saying ur gonna have problems but.. definately is not getting any colder in there and that robs power

My beemer use to take hours to cool down when I parked (as does my moms benz). My acura cools down very quickly within a half hour or so. Theres plenty of air in there to cool things down imo
