Exhaust rattle after Comptech Header Install

Hey, I need some help, I have a rattle at idle when I am in Drive or Reverse. (Not in park or Neutral) I just installed Comptech Headers and when I am driving there is no Resonance, but when I come to a Red LIght or stop Sign, my exhaust completely rattles. I can get under the car and stop the rattle by applying pressure to the exhaust system. Please any input is greatly appreciated.

is it just the header that is ratteling? or is it under the car like the heat shield or something?
where do you apply the pressure?

Its definitely not the heat shield, I took that off to be sure. I apply pressure at the rubber attachment before the CC. That stops the sound, its like something that is going throughout my entire exhaust. It almost sounds like the baffles are blown out of a muffler, but thats not what it is, its not a metally tinking sound. THanks for the fast response.

I apply pressuer to the mount attached to the A-pipe. And there are no clearance issues, is it possible that the flex joint is too stiff and is causing a ton of vibration throughout the entire system. I checked all clearance issues and there are none, so I just have no idea since I didn't have this problem before my install of the comptech headers.

that could be bro, check all the bolts and fittings, and give it some time maybe it will work itself out. other than that IDK, do you feel any difference in performance? do you have any other mods?

also with my comptech headers the hanger didnt line up right and it tore through the rubber and the hanger bar on the header would contact the metal bracket...ended up filling the bracket with window weld

now that i re read his description...it still could be either one i mentioned but probablly because of a failed motor mount...more than likely the side mount...look by the oil filter and on the inside of the engine bay accross form the PS pump...see any thing that looks like rusty water? put the car in drive and with the hood open have someone stand out side while you put the car in drive while holding the brake and reving alittle....

But I had no problems at all with the mounts prior to the installation and the problem occured immediately after the header install. Its a vibration not coming from any one place but the source seems to be around the flex joint. And the 02 sensor is in no way hitting anything. THis isn't a small vibration, it shakes me while i sit in my car at a red light and its a loud vibrating sound.

Also, i have no other symptoms of a bad motor mount, no clicking, no jerking during shifting, etc...

I had this exact same problem... the dealer replaced the exhaust hangers and checked everything. It was still there... I think it is a problem with some autos. I have an MT now and have no problem.

So... the easy fic is get a 6MT
