Exhaust Manifold Gasket blew

and I went to Napa and autozone and neither place carried my gasket.

I have the aftermarket XS Power headers on it and was wondering it if I can only get that gasket through them or what?

I'll take pictures of the gasket if you guys need to see it.

If you have a Oreillys in the area they can order them within two days usually. I just ordered some for my friend from work(i work there). They are made by fel-pro and it beats the $25 a piece they wanted at the dealer.

I dunno about the quality of anything other then OEM. I wouldn't trust any brand except OEM. The gaskets that came with my headers were literally recycled carboard with a little bit of metal. You could peel them apart

Do you know what the fel-pro brand is??? They have been around forever and they are metal, multi layer, crush gaskets. You can go waist money on oem if you want but they would do the exact same job. And of course the XS power gaskets are going to be shit. I personally wouldnt run anything touched by XS Power.

I'm not doubting they aren't good quality metal, but for $5-10 more why not get Honda OEM gaskets?

okay good for u. Unless your going to help me in some kind of way there isn't any need for you opinion.

I'm probably going to pick up 02's stuff but was wondering for sure if anyone knew if XS power makes their gasket for the headers any different then the OEM style?

yes the xs gaskets and oem are completely different. OEM gaskets are crush gaskets with multiple layers of quality metal. The XS headers exhaust manifold gaskets are about 3 times more thick then oem b/c they are just compacted recycled cardboard with a very thin, almost fake preforated metal on each side.

yea it will fit fine. I am using the same gaskets on my 02 CL-S with XS headers. You just have to make sure you torque everything correctly and you won't have any problems

DONT use the XS gaskets. They are JUNK. Go to the dealer and get the OEM gaskets. They are great gaskets and dont cost that much (or order them here)
