i took a hose clamp, (1 3/4' to 2 3/4' inches) and went around the rubber hanger and tightened it up. so it compressed the rubber "thingy". and it pulled it right up.

my '03 CLS 6mt looks exactly the same. Does it just need a new rubber hanger? What is the fix? I went to Acura of Baton Rouge and those jack asses told me the car came like that and there was nothing they could do about it except replace the exhaust system at my expense. they also told me I had probably done it or the car had been wrecked. strange because it never has and I have owned the car since 12 miles on the OD. I have been so pissed about this since I bought my car! What have you guys done to fix this??????????????

i didn't realize drooping right exhausts were so common. i'm gonna call acura to see how much a rubber ring would be. if it's too much, i'll try your clamp idea.

I saw that stealth. thanks. I was looking for anything not already mentioned. I have seen this on so many Acuras. I want to also know what the dealers are doing in other areas to fix this. thanks

when you say rubber ring do you mean the rubber hangger.

yes the rubber piece that holds the hangers together....the only thing you can do is take it to an exhaust shop and have them bend the hanger so the hook is higher, or do it yourself...or find alternatives...its just a design flaw, every car has them.

the cure for one hung low syndrome:

i put an additional o.e. style hanger on the front and rear of the side that hung lower and it brought it up to with in millimeters of perfect and cost 5$... it stayed that way for 75K miles .and im sure is still that way now.

I tried Matt's hose clamp fix today and was amazed at how easy and effective it was in correcting the problem for under $2. Thank YOU! (the droop was BUGGING me)

Actually I slipped the clamp I bought over the rubber "hanger" part without taking it off the car.

Super easy even for the most casual mechanics.

Holy thread resurrection batman. At least it shows you searched.
I used thick zip-ties around all my rubber hangers. Still good after a few years.

My fix exactly! Couldn't be happier and they are like a buck at home depot.
I tried replacing the rubber bushings too...didn't do shit and took forever! still have three brand new ones in the plastic that aren't doing anything, lol.
