There is a dual magnaflow with comptech tips in the black market.
You just would need 2.5" pipe from the cat made...

Yea just get it custom. I bought TSUDO SP and had custom piping done. Paid like 100 for piping and installation.

That exhaust is not out yet and has not been made. They made the tl version first, and last time I looked at thread they are having trouble selling any of them. I wouldn't be surprised if a cl version is never made and by that time most owners won't have the car anymore. You can buy the tl version for over a grand then pay a shop to cut pipe shorter for the cl, but if you are going thru that just might as well get custom piping and save 500 bucks.

Only option is tanabe that is over 800 and the piping is too small or custom.

Tanabe is one option, Apexi another, GReddy another, Megan another, Espelir another, Magnaflow another, OBX another.

You guys are all forgeting that the YA4 (01-03 3.2CL) and CG2 (98-02 Accord V6 Coupe) chassis is the same...

The TL version got enough buyers. It's being made soon, and should ship by the end of May.

Any system made for the Accord will require modifications to fit the CL.

Beware though but the cat-back on CL has a major droan problem so if you want a quiet exhaust do axle-back or if you want maxed out performance do cat-back but expect a droan on 95% of the exhaust. If you do cat-back do not remove mid-muffler when doing the custom work. Good luck bro.

Why do you say this? I'm just curious because I was thinking about doing just that for my next mod....

Because the exhaust will be loud, raspy, and you will look like a ricer basically.

They are not identical fitments. The accord tips will either sit back a few more inches or stick out an extra couple inches if put on the cl. Some people might like tips that stick out 4 inches from bumper, but not me.

Someone should mention that unless you're running FI, you will see 0HP gain from exhaust on the CL-S. The factory setup flows plenty well enough for the power the car makes even in modified form.

^ but it won't decrease the power either (given that you don't go above 2.5 sized piping)

changing the mufflers adds about 5 hp if you have some mods... after all the reading and questions i've asked in the past.

full cat back would yeild you 10 for sure... if u have intake and headers

I've never heard an Evo 2 system that wasn't really loud. It's just a loud ass exhaust lol. Also, have you seen this YouTube place? I heard they have some sweet vids.

Yeah but where in the power band? I tried the rt cat & with stock piping & CT mufflers, I lost low end TQ. Maybe I gained some HP at 5K+ RPM.

lol i know i love the quietness of the cl and how it just screams when u ask it to. getting an exhaust would likely ruin that patented capability of the CL

I am sorry but this is simply not true. You might not really see gains on a stock engine, but you can definitely see gains on NA setups.

when the term "N/A" is used I know it means naturally aspirated but are you refering to a setup involving only bolt-ons such as I/H/E?

anyone ever try doing an x pipe on the cl-s?

i dont rally see why people would spend up to 500-1000 for exhaust just for sound. There has to be some gain in hp too, but there may be possibly a loss in torque?

anyways, the exhaust is too quiet for me, but i sure as hell wouldnt get a new exhaust unless it gave me an increase in power as well....
just sayin............

Tanabe piping is the same as stock but lighter and smoother bends.

It is on my car and it is sufficiently sized for a N/A CL. If anything I believe it flows as good as stock if not better.

I was lucky, 475 for my Tanabe Catback, its nice having it since not a lot of people buy it.

You really wont get much power from a cat back exhaust, all the power is at the headers, the exhaust is about as good as you can get from the factory.

I would hope it flows as good as stock. I think 2.5 that splits to 2.25 would be better, and p2r used a 3 inch exhaust for max gains on dyno. The atlp exhaust is 2.5 and 2.25 after the split. That would be ideal for me but it's not available yet. Anyone know the piping size of comptech mufflers?

They did. It's been discontinued for 2 years now. The mufflers are what's left.

Here is link to pics and sound clip of the new tanabe exhaust that is not out yet. I asked tanabe over a year ago when it would come out and they said 3-6 months. I just asked again over a year later and was told 2-3 more months. So no way to know if that or atlp one will even be released this year.
