i ran with an Evo 9 MR. Blitz all over under the hood, pipes, no cat, flashed ECU, loud BOV, MBC. he claims 330whp/330wtq not sure on the #'s but it's around there, tuned by XSengineering. i know he'll gonna kick my ass i just want to know how bad. i've beaten an Ev0 8 b4 (i/e/pipes) by 2 cars on a 40 roll that was pre-IC/Inj/9psi pulley/tuning/etc... but this one is a different story...

i was on 3rd gear on that video from 40mph roll. same result, less pwnage on 2nd gear from 40mph roll.

the guy's cool, it was a nice race. he only spent lil over 2gran for tuning/parts/labor to gain so much power, which i think the sweetest part. on street driving i'm hands down with them. I always love to have an Evo...

 

nice run that evo is a quick one. Was this video recent or is this after 9 PSI of boost? Do you have scalberts aftercooler or FM?

race was after 9psi. yes i have HOPE IC from Scalbert. i am not sure if Chris can beat him that Evo is stupid fast, but who knows, a lighter wheels and sticky tires can do the trick...

maybe next time we'll race on 60mph in a frwy. with a better videocam i've used digcam on those race.

yes it's on Ventura blvd. there was a lot of tight cars roaming around over there that night.

pretty much but it's nice to know what kind of car i can beat and can not beat

 

evo ix's are VERY mod friendly, i/h/e and a boost controller gets them into high 12's

Shouldn't be a problem in all honesty. I'd give my friend in his Evo 8 with more mods than what that kid has a car headstart and still pull on him. (with the nitrous of course on the freeway). I've lost more weight since time has gone by as well. And plan to lose some more before December ends (plexi glass will replace my windows). And this is still untuned, which will easily gain me another 12-15whp min.

Weight is our enemy...

WOW i thought you would have put up a fight but he just went what about a 70- 80 roll what would the result be? I know that EVO can pick up fast very fast......

 

he got some grippy tires on that AWD wheels...but i could probably smoke him on 60mph roll...

 

Next time get a video of that 60 mph roll I would love to see the results.

Its a good death,. not sure if a 60 mph roll will help you any,.........the EVO is pretty nice from a roll almost anywhere, its the from the line launches that can really ruin the EVO's clutch and drivetrain,..........but from a roll the Turbo is nice.
