to Eric opening up this thread......

TypeSLady--- Fuel pressure gauges.... Autometer sells them... Gauge pod.. Lotec sells them.

Eric:.... right now I am at 44psi at idle no accessories and 75 with the vac pulled.

I am bumping down to 35-36 psi at idle and 65 w/ vac pulled.

36 at idle, never disconnected the VAC, however on WOT I can't get it above 92 anymore, it used to peg at the 100, insinuating that it went above

Oh to add to the thread Eric, I just checked my peak BOOST and it read 7.5 lbs of boost.....

I set the warn light to go off at 8, we shall see if I hit it the next time I go for spin since I installed the CT mufflers the other day.

You should state a vacuum number to reference also. When fully warmed and at about 21 inHg I see about 32 PSI.

BTW, my peak boost is just slightly higher but I am flowing more air. Hrmmm.

How on earth do you go from 36psi vacuum to 69psi no-vacuum?? I have my FPR installed and I read 44psi vacuum and 56psi no-vacuum. A 33psi jump just on vacuum is odd. According to Comptech's documentation, 50psi will drop to 37.5psi in 20in of vacuum. Also, the type of spring/calibration washer doesn't affect this part of the curve.

That is the way the FPR comes with the kit. The spec from Comptech is 35 - 40 PSI with 20 inHG vacuum and 65 - 70 PSI without vacuum.

I haven't looked into the details of how they acheive this gain rate but it does put fuel pressure at or above 100 PSI with just 3 - 4 PSI boost. That reminds me, I need to call Comptech today and get the washer/spring kit.

Type S Lady - You and I don't need these guages. These are for the true gear heads and grease monkies (what I used to be before I got so old and gray). Unless you plan to make adjustments to your fuel pressure (beyond what Comptech set at the factory), you want need these. Plus, if any of those guys down there in the sunshine state see a guage pod in your car, then you will lose some of that sleeper image you have!

All gear heads feel free to correct me here if I am wrong. Any need to know if all is well (we are not trying to set any quarter mile records, etc.) and we do not plan to make any changes? I know, I know: How much power do you need? More than you've got!

Sorry for using terms that show my age. Any updated lingo (instead of gear heads, and grease monkies) would be appreciated. One is never too old to learn. Thanks

steve why are you changing the fpr?do you just want to bring down fuel pressure values?after i install the intercooler with everything id like to go to bigger squirters and drop that fuel pressure which is way too high

Correct, I want lower pressure. Runnign 100+ PSI for extended periods will degrade the pump. There is also always a question of fuel lines poping off and starting a fire.

I can drop the gain rate and compensate for it with the e-Manage.

I just check it again this morning, and at idle it is more around 25 psi and at peak 85psi at WOT, how can I bump it up about 10psi? Do I just adjust the screw on the FPR? Thanks

Joedokes: I have made the move up to scottsdale last week and will be back up there next weds. PM your number and I'll arrange a test drive

Correct, just turn the adjustment screw on top of the FPR. Clockwise increases pressure.
