Ever see that commercial...

where there's one car parked in a huge parking lot and this POS old car comes flying into the parking lot and parks two inches away from the car and then proceeds to open their door into the nice car parked there? So check this out...

I go to the Arizona Cardinals game yesterday with my buddy, all excited to finally see the new stadium they built and get to see the Card's give it to the Bronco's. Okay, I guess that was mistake #1, thinking the Card's were going to beat the Bronco's, but what ever. So I find a small parking lot near the stadium and park my car. Actually, I pulled in and out of a few spaces before settling on one that was next to an island so I could only have one car on the side of me lessening my chances of getting the old door into door ding. So my buddy and I get out and start tossing the football around enjoying the pre-game hanging. Keep in mind, the parking lot is about 1/4 full, so there's about 50-60 spaces open to park. As I'm tossing the football to my buddy he turns his head and just starts staring in the opposite direction of the football I just threw. WTF? As I'm shouting heads up he starts pointing to my car and going dude your car! I look over and a Mits Montero is backing up into my bumper. He slowly pulls forward a foot after he hits her. I start walking over to see the damage and the guy rolls down the window and says I didn't hit you did I? Yeah you hit me you f*cking idiot! Out of all the spaces in the whole damn parking lot and this guy backs up into the space directly in front of me and proceeds to hit my car. WTF???! I look and on the top of my bumper is a 2" long gash. Unreal. I get the guys info and tell him I'll be calling him to let him know the damage. He was actually a pretty nice guy and seemed to be cool with what ever the damage is. I took her to the shop today to get an estimate and they came back with $445. Not as bad as I thought. At least I'm getting a whole new bumper out of the deal. Still though, they want my car for three days and instead of getting a nice TSX for a loaner they go through Enterprise, so I'm probably going to get stuck with some POS GM or something. Great. Oh well, just another bad driver attracted to my car like a freegen magnet.

That sucks but be lucky the guy didnt run away at least he stayed and offered to pay for you. I hate people that hit and run while its never happened to me what an asshole thing to do. People like that really deserve to be tourted to death. Sorry about your loaner though but its better then nothing though I have heard of people getting stuck with nothing. Good luck with the new bumper.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, I'm SO thankful I was there to see it happen and confront the guy. It could've been much much worse, like the rear-end collision I saw happen on my way home Friday night from a Xmas party, drunk girl plowed into a Lincoln doing 60mph and didn't stop at all. Sick. But yeah, even the loaner isn't that bad, it's a loaner, so it's temporary. Still why are people that don't care about their cars always all up on my car??? I swear I collect the most dings and scrathes from people parking next to me.

Nope, it's about an 1/8th of an inch into the top of the bumper, which is plastic, so it really needs to be completely new bumper.

Turns out the total is $577 including rental car, so he actually is lucky it's not more. Now as long as the phone number he gave me is real I should be getting her fixed hopefully before the new year.

ah a similar thing happened when i took my mom's MDX to the Jets/Texans game a few weeks ago
Some crazy old lady wings open the door of her CTS right into the side of my mom's suv and put a big scratch in the clear coat just as we were packing up our shit to leave. She realized what she did and gunned it out of there nearly killing my friend Addison
I hate inconsiderate people.

Man, you guys made me feel a lot better with more stories about wacked people that screw with our CLs! I called the guy yesterday so he actually did gave me a legit phone number. He's supposed to call me back today to let me know how we're going to handle it. I'll feel a lot better when it's all over with.
