engine noises

engine noises

whenever i first start my car and put it into drive, i hear this vibration/buzzing noise from the engine area....it doesnt seem to affect anything but with all the tranny failures out ther, im getting paranoid...anyone have an explanation?

That noise you are hearing is simply your VSA engaging when the car is put into drive and reaches a certain speed. Nothing to worry about.

I was incorrect in answering your question regarding the buzzing sound you hear immediately after you put the car in drive. The noise is actually the ABS self test which buzzes as it charges when you reach 4mph and 12mph.
