Engine Light @ around 50k Miles?

I have a 2003 6-speed Cl Type S. When I got around 48 or 49,000 miles my engine light began to come on. I already read the manual and know that this can be caused by the gas cap not being tightened enough but this is not the case for me. I took my car to the Acura dealership and was advised that an over-rev code came back from my car's computer (meaning that the engine had been taken above the redline at some point in time). They reset the computer and told me everything was fine and just to be a little more careful with it. I drove like a little old lady and I kid you not, a week later the engine light came back on. I took it back a second time and told the service writer that I had not been racing the engine since the last time I visited. He told me there is nothing wrong with the car and the same code came back again. Once again they reset the computer and sent me on my way. I left the dealership and later that afternoon the engine light came on again. I immediately called the service write back and told him and he finally admitted that there was something wrong with the car. After taking my car back to them a 3rd time, I was advised that the engine was mis-firing due to a valve being stuck open which is somehow related to over-rev. The service writer told me they fixed it and I could come and pick up my car. This was a week ago thursday and today that Mutha f#ckin' engine light is on again!! I don't feel any diminishment of power what so ever. Does anyone here know of a similar situation and how it was resolved? If someone knows which fuse that damned thing is hooked to, please tell me so I can pull it. This has got to be the most annoying thing I have seen in a $30,000 car.

I would go to another dealer if possible and have them take a look at it.

:imwithstupid:

try another dealer, for the check engine light to continuously come on is ridiculous. They should have inspected the other valves while they were at it, but I guess it would be possible to have another one stuck open.
