so are you complaining about the existence of the rev limiter or are you upset that the motor doesn't continue to make decent power after the nominal redline is reached (but before the rev limiter kicks in)?
As a 6-speed the max speed for each gear should be inprinted in your head!
It is in your CLS manual...
For example, the speed at which:
1st redline at:
2nd redline at:
3rd redline at:
4th redline at:
5th redlibe at:
Read it in your manual!

) or spin a bearing reving the crap out of the motor. pistons also start breaking apart once piston speed gets too high, especially on (relatively) short stroke motors like these.dunno why you'd have a problem with that, but feel free to bitch on.
