Engine close to stalling when stoping...

I've noticed that it happens very offten ( not every time) when I slow down to the stop or red light my RPMs drop to lke 300-400, and it feels that engine is very close to shutdown....

I also noticed this is happening in winter times more offten, is it because of this so called *winter* gasoline ?

What's the solution? Wait till spring till they get better gasoline?

I always get 93 Mobil gas....

Yeah, it gets back to normal RPMs after 2-3 seconds... but during this time engine feels like its about to shutdown....

Mine has been doing that recently too.... that and every now and again it just idles at the first hash mark the whole time the car is running (when stopped). Turning off the car and starting it back up fixes it. Dunno whats up... im just keeping an eye on it for now.

This might be wrong, but I noticed the "near-stall" a little after putting in the Denso spark plugs. I went back in and tightened all of the plugs and it hasn't happened since.

I had the same thing happen last year on my old '00 Accord Coupe with the 3.0. It turned out there was a TSB to replace the ECM. It solved the problem immediately and permanently.

I've experienced the same scenario, one of the local CLS guys had his IAC replaced and it seemed to have solve the problem.

Then how do you reproduce this problem, it might not show up when I try to show it to the dealer....

Idle Learn
The idle learn procedure must be done on all 2003
3.2CLs at TQI so that the ECM/PCM can learn the
engine idle speed characteristics. If it is not done or
done incorrectly, the engine may have an erratic idle.
This procedure also must be done whenever you do
any of the following:
• Disconnect the battery
• Disconnect the ECM/PCM
• Reset or replace the ECM/PCM
• Remove the driver’s or passenger’s under-dash
fuse/relay box
• Remove the BATTERY (120A) fuse from the underhood
fuse/relay box
• Remove the BACK-UP, ACC (40A) fuse from the
under-hood fuse/relay box
• Remove the No. 13 CLOCK, BACK-UP (15A) fuse
from the passenger’s under-dash fuse/relay box
• Remove the PGM-FI main relay
