engine bay cleaner??

engine bay cleaner??

what do you guys use to clean the whole inside on the engine bay..any recommendations??..was it something like simple green??..anything i can get at my local shop like pep boys, kragens??..thanks

simple green will work, or engine degreaser if it's really nasty.

just get it wet first, then spray the degreaser, let it sit, then powerwash it off.

if you wanna make it shine like a mofo when you're done i know a trick

k, after the degreaser is all rinsed off, you may want to hit the engine bay w/ a wash mit. then rinse again.

teh secret trick is... get some water based dress/protectant, like armorall (don't use oil base products). then spray liberally on to the wet engine compartment. engine covers, hoses, the whole thing. close your hood and go for a drive. the heat in the engine compartment will cause the water to evaporate, leaving a nice layer of dress applied evenly in the engine compartment. at this point the engine etc. will look better than new.

armor all, etc. just make sure it's water based.
