Sup guys, this thread my be in the wrong place but I thought I'd get the most exposure here. I was wondering what is the best way to clean the engine cover and engine bay? Can I just take a water hose to it??? Thanks guys.

I know there of some things you have to be careful of spraying, but I have never done this to mine, but I keep my engine bay clean
Now I would like to have an undercarridge wash done.

Yes, I would cover the alternator and battery. Don't set the nozzle on stream. Too much pressure.
On my cars, I remove all the plastic coverings, spray the whole engine down with Simple Green, let it set for 15-20 minutes. Then spray away. Work like a charm, washes all the tough greese and dirt off and then you just wipe down with a rag.
Air dry!

I spray the simple green when the engine is warm (NOT "just driven"), as it helps in drying the engine and letting the simple green work in. By the covers, I mean the plastic engine covers, the aesthetic one's that cover the manifold and valve cover. Cover the battery, alternator, and any other sensitive electrical parts with plastic bags, I've used seran wrap & ziplock bags with grocery bags for extra protection.
