Hey guys,

When washing my car, the 3.2CL emblem started to come off, so I took it all the way off. I would like to keep it off and just leave the Type S, BUT the paint has faded some and it is really easy to see the 3.2CL in the paint. So, does anyone know the best way to reattach the emblems? I know what came off was some type of putty, but don't know. Any help would be great, thanks.

Um. To get rid of that faded paint or the ghosting of the 3.2cl Wash wax polish and it should be gone. And to reinstall em. I used 3m tape and an exacto knife! WORKS!!

 

Ditto on the double sticky tape and exacto knife. If you can find 3M tape, just be sure to get some made for outdoor use.

 

+1 on 3M emblem tape and exacto knife too. Actually, that's exactly what happened to me. I got the 3m tape from walmart.

 

I've done the same with the 3M tape in the past for the A in Acrua across the back and now I need to put the Type-S back on once I get around to washing it.

 

Look for the red 3M tape. It's the strongest hold.

 

I think my question is already answered but just want to make sure. are there wholes under emblems on the trunk. Id like to take off the ACURA emblems.

 

Just on the "A"

 

Use fishing line to remove. Use exacto knife to get the thick 3m gunk off. Then use an abrasive wax to get the rest off. A clay bar would work great for that. If I only knew then what I knew now.
