Eibach Pro-Kit Installation HELP NEEDED ASAP

I am going in to get my install done in about an hour and I read the notes that came with the springs, and it said that bump stops need to be trimmed.

Does this really need to be done on the CL and if SO, by how much? The Eibach Instructions give trimming measurements for Accord because these are accord springs. If trimming needs to be done for the CL, how much in mm. Thanks for quick responses.

I'd cut them till they're about 1/2inch tall. It's better to cut too much than have a bad ride.

What are bump stops anyway? And what do you mean by 'better to cut too much than have a bad ride'? Thanks

pumps stops are a little piece in your shock that softens the blow when the shock bottoms out. If you don't cut it, and install the springs, you'll bottom out your shocks on the bump stop over every bump. Ever see hondas rollin around bouncing all over the road? Chances are that is someone who didn't cut their bump stop. So, by cutting it down, you're giving your shock more travel.

So how much should the bump stops be cut on the CL? Same as specified in the Eibach instructions for the Accord or more?

I'd just cut it to Accord specs.

bumpstops or JOUNCE as they're truly known are active at all times they act as the first progressive reaction beteween you car ,the springs and the shocks...if you cut your car will be even lower than the advertised...not that its bad to cut them i just want you to be prepared....talk to someone here who has the pro's
