eibach drop price

went to my local performance shop and i got quoted $300 for eibach lowering springs which would drop the car 2.0 in the front and 1.7 in the rear. He said that the total cost installed would range from $400 to $450. Is this reasonable? He also went on to say that the ride quality would suck if i did not replace the shocks also. Anyone have eibachs? Any advice?

That seems a little bit high to me. I got my Pro Kit for $205 plus 70 for the install. To answer your other question, the ride quality does suffer a little, but not that much.

Have you all rolled your rear fenders? I just lowered mine with the pro-kit this week and I have to get my fenders rolled. Thrashing the tires.

What offset are your rims, and what size are your tires?

I have basically no problems when its just me in the car. I have rubbed once or twice, but that was going up my friends' steep driveways or taking a dips way too fast. With 4+ people in the car I have rubbed a few times going over serious dips, but its rare.

I'm running 225/35/19 with 45 offset

i have the eibach drop and the ryde will suck on stock shocks not at first though, after the shocks get messed up, u will see what im talkin about, thats why u should get shocks at the same time that way u dont pay labor twice. i got my shocks for 400 installed and my springs i dont know the exact price cuz i got installed along with my exhuast in one package. i dont have any rubbing problems, i have 19's, 225/35, if u put 235 u will most likely have to roll the fenders in the back with most offsets. one problem with the prokit, is that its not low enough, at least not for me, but i also dont have a camber kit and my tires dont get eaten up. i wanted to get the h&r racing springs, they r 2.25 in the front and 1.75 in the rear, but guarunteed u will need a camber kit, and my guy didnt recommend cuz he said i would ball out my tires or blow my shock on a nasty dip.

just my two cents

These are some of the reasons that i am leaning toward the CT springs. Yes it will not be as low as i like, but i dont really want to roll the fenders like i did with my Civic and then have to worry about the paint chippin, and coming off in that area. I dont want runbbing problems or anything. My set up is 225/45/17 on 42 offset.

Also shocks are quite expensive, and I already have about 32K on my ride, so im thinkin maybe wait until they blow and have Acura change them for me, and then get it lowered!
