As far as peak number...to me they mean shit. If you don't have the power accross the entire band, what good is peak. Sure it's great to say "my headers gave me 20HP peak" but what does that really translate to?
ahhh i see the problem now...you had either a 99 TL or...a non type S the type S' redline is 6900K with fuel cut at 7100...and 3rd takes you right to 113 mph at that point there's not much left...headers..24 whp coming at 6600 if i remember ,and they do extend the torque curve quiet nicely...

Sounds like another idiot post by someone talking out of their ass. Fuck Racing Stories.

This place is full of retards who can't stand to see us beat anything more than a Neon. Everytime a kill is posted it's "but" something. "But there's this one guy who managed to do 13.5 in X car, so NO ONE CAN EVER DO LESS THAN THAT EVER ANYWHERE SO YOU'RE A LIAR." Grow the fuck up, faggots.

Real intelligent post. I see what I see at the track and compare it to the timeslips I see here. People that actually go to the track, unlike yourself would notice that a properly drive M3 stock can take a modded Auto. Its not rocket science.

Well, I think BMW saw these kind of arguments coming, that is why they did away with the US spec 240hp engine and now sell the 333hp engine worldwide, to dismiss any arguements....

Cause you got Lexus owners talking about getting in a M3s ass too

New M3=drool......

AC - I am with typeR here on this one. On the highway, I think we do pretty well if we are in 3rd gear and LEAVE IT IN 3rd. I have pulled on plenty of cars in 3rd on 495. Now you pulling up on nova's rear, look what you were driving (540 i presume ), well thats going to be obvious. I don't have headers and my car seems to be strong I can't imagine when i get them.

Fast Gold, the SC will give me about 450HP at the crank....Trust me, I know what American muscle can do

TypeR, you're right, I did have a 2000TL but it was still faster than stock CLS which I had the pleasure of racing 3 or them...wish those guys were here on the forum!

Thoro, yes I was in my 540...but it was stock

Okey i want to run ur car after u get ur SC Its going to be fun, but i will have a Cam and headers over what i have now. Most likely i will have around 395-405RWHP which is 464-476 at the cranck with this setup. Of course i'm not going to use the 150 wet kit with ur 540 SC because i will be at 540RWHP and around 700RWTQ which means i have around 635HP and 823TQ at the cranck .

Yep you got me there I am such an idiot. Your the one that believes BS kills so consider yourself a chump. When you dont know what your talking about, I guess the best way to try and get your point across is to try and flame someone. Look at the timeslips of properly driven E36 M3s in manual form and then compare them to a fully modded auto CL-S. Now lets see who the idiot is.

Im not talking about mag times...Im talking about times I personally see at the drag strip with normal joe schmo's driving. You on the other hand probably get your stats off Motor Trend. You thinking is flawed and contradictory. So from your way of thinking, every CL-S runs 14.5 to 15 flat ????? The problem with street races are that they can be BSed real easily. Hell I can claim I beat my friends Z06. I can also leave out the very important fact that he was no where close to being in the right gear.

BTW.....Before you go discrediting me again. Please post your actually racing experiences....ie what road tracks you have been to or what driving schools you have attended. Street racing doesnt count. The communication skills (faggot.. for example) you use indicates you are about 18 years old.

Hey guys, on the 1/4 mile track the ET does matter because u can win or lose by it. Of course u should get a good reaction time. On the streeets what matters is the trapspseeeeeed. Who have a higher trapspseeed will win. Simple as that. I lost to a hooked up mustang that is setup for the 1/4 mile. He ran 13.14 at 103 to my 13.19 at 108. At the end of the 1/4mile i was catching really fast because my 60ft sucked big time with a 2.2 to his 1.6. Anyways i asked him if he wants to race after we get out of the track. He said okey. We raced on the streeeets from a roll and the guy didnt go anywhere. we did a roll from 20 and the guy didnt even hang to my rear bumper. I shut down at 100 and the guy was around 2 cars behind me.

You can't seem to comprehend it on first run through, so I have to repeat it for you, child.

Get it through your thick skull that all your track and timeslip garbage excuses don't change the fact of reality - of what happened on the street. Your car runs 13s? That's great - too bad the ones CLSes have raced didn't, and so they lost. I know you can't accept the fact that not everyone can drive the car model you own as well as you can drive yours, but it's reality and sorry if it hurts your ego, but people aren't posting lies here. You're the only immature person, coming here and being ignorant and rude and calling us all liars when we relate our meager kills.

Ummm thats with...

Intake
Headers
Pulleys
NO back seats
NO spare
And hardly any gas in tank
and most likely racing gas...

I'm not taking anything away from your runs... But lets be a lil realistic here for daily driving.

LOL

Put your money where your mouth is... (prolly gotta stand up for that one) If were gonna run, you should bring your car out here...

I have posted only my N/A timeslips on here....

My point being your one of few that runs those times.

Since were not talking about us racing, I don't quite se eyour point. But if you feel you have something to prove.... plz

No stock CLS runs low 14's was point. Your car is stripped and mod'd. Hardly anyone drives around like that. More power to ya though.

If I was back in Chicago, I would take you up on racing a M3. A few of my friends have e36's.

Insecure? (I don't get the racing me in my CLS... LOL)

Dude, I'm not taking anything *away* from your times.
Just pointing out your the exception, not the norm.

geeze

Joe's auto vs. my 6spd

Quite a few posts about how unusually fast Joe's auto (I hope that's the name of the owner!) CL-S is. I don't think it will beat a 6spd. Worst case is the 6spd spins a little too much off-the-line, but not with a good driver.

You arn't in Southern California by some chance eh?

Hey, I am not on joe's balls or nothing but, I believe him when he post his stories. HE raced one of our own 6spd members and the dude (6spd) lost. It's believable that he can. A few members even drove his car, and can contest.

LOL,

I better just unbolt my door now before you come.

Ya, I'd loose badly. I wish my CLS without NX would turn the times yours does... Kinda frustrating... Next time I go to KCIR here I'll take all of my crap out.

Have a good weekend man

I dunno yet :-/ I could guess. But I won't bother. I'll have it at the track in a few weeks. I'm waiting for this 100deg weather to go away.
