Here is an update at this point.
Garage Kwai, and other major shops around here couldn't help me since EU is too new and nobody played with it yet, and Scalbert doesn't have a car so I had to rely on myself. I spent a gread deal of time anylizing pins on both ECU and EU, created a nice diagram and found some wires needed to be relocated, so I did that along with adjusted several software settings. Next was able to set TPS (throttle) calibration with ENGINE OFF and the car fired up fine with good idle.

However, with Crank angle sensor hooked up, I didn't see any changes in RPM despite the fact I chose "Crank angle" dropdown software option and upon firing up the car CEL immediately popped up. With OBDII reader it displayed P0107 MAP Circuit low input (low voltage).
I sent more detailed email to Steve and he's going to respond on Monday.

I'm really close to resolution, however considering CEL came up with plugged-in EU, current limited time and bad weather around the corner, I made a decision and rewired harness back to original (blue) E-Manage and going drive with it until I make the second attempt on EU early next year One of the reason was to rewire harness back to E (E-Manage) was when EU is completely resolved, E will be easy to sell together with PnP harness since it fits auto CL-S, TL-S and AV6 (00-02).

At this point I found PnP (future EU) harness, going to wire EU (3 harnesses) myself and a possibility to fly out Scalbert over once ready for tuning with followed dyno. So, I did NOT give up and definately going to continue.

There are some nice features into it, and here is the REAL TIME diagram I had a chance to snap.

guess I'll just have to go with teh vafc for now... gotta get something to tune my cams. Speaking of which, I'll be getting a wideband O2 also for self-tuning. what is the ideal AF ratio? i've heard anywhere from 11.5:1 to 14.3:1, so I have no idea anymore.

Do you need a wideband O2? I have the AEM gauge type piece I never fully installed (got the gauge in not the sensor) I paid $400 but will let it go for $300.

When I had my NA tune done it was best around 13.1:1 - 13.5:1. Usually anywhere between 12.5:1 - 13.5:1 will be good on these motors.

hmmm, well I've got several things already in teh works to buy, and I was looking into the zietronix wideband for computer data logging so I can tune it (http://www.zeitronix.com/), haven't heard too much, but I think that's a pretty good price for a basic wideband.

I'll be spending nearly $500 on the items alone, then I have to get teh cams installed ( if I don't feel confident enough to install them on my own) + pulleys, but I can definitely install the TB/helix spacers on my own, + valve adjustment (maybe, I'm pretty sure I can do that one also.) so I'm gonna be low on cash for a bit.

Don't waste money on VAFC. Changing VTEC from factory will bring nothing but loss in power . Just install cams, adjust valves and keep VTEC as is.
And Zeitronix (ZT-2) is great kit I currently use with precise AFR, EGT and BOOST values (the last two require extra sensors). And low 13s is best for NA motor

hmm, well too late, already used "buy it now" on an ebay auction of another forumer here, but I'm not buying it for the VTEC crossover point adjustment, I'm buying it for the AF fuel andjustment, which I will be tuning myself with the assistance of the zeitronix wideband setup.

I'm a poor college student, so I'll be using teh "ghetto" things for now, untill I get a real job in a couple years. I'll definitely be getting the EGT sensor so I don't burn anything up while tuning, and maybe If I get up enough money before I graduate I'll put together a turbo setup for my J30CL.

I can't see any serious gains from timing advance, and this is my daily driver, so longevity is an issue as well.
