I have a Dynomax with a 2.5" pipe (and a high-flow cat) on my 280Z. (2.8L straight 6) Not ricey at all. Very deep at idle, a bit boomy at 2k rpm, but otherwise fairly mellow sounding. It even has a header and at highway speed, you wouldnt guess it wasnt stock. Don't know how it would sound on the CL though. I've heard the Magnaflows sound pretty good though.
