Dyno cost and minimum time

I just called Philadelphia Racing Engines in Philly who uses superflow equipment--They quoted me $65/hr. and they said minumum time to do a dyno is 1.5 hrs.

Does this sound like the norm?

Just curious

Still debating - Say its 2 hours - $130 bucks is expensive --If I do it, Ill do it next week sometime and let you know--Otherwise I might wait until I get lighter wheels and new tires, not that it will make a real difference anyway--but ya know..

Where I went (KD Rotary in Nazareth, Pa) it was 75-bucks for one hour.
I was only there for about a ½ hour and got about six or seven runs in but really had nothing else to try and use the extra time up with.
He was willing to do several cars for 60 an hour, but it would be 60 for EACH car.
I don’t quite understand that math, but that’s what he said.
It takes about 10-15 minutes to hook the car & equipment up.

As for the Philly area Dyno, why don’t you try and turn this into a MEET type event and try and get a group rate.
I’ll come down, but wait until it gets COLDER out. Like December or January.
Try for like a Friday afternoon or something if they don’t do weekends.

I’d also like to do mine with the STOCK wheels/tires on the front and see what the difference is.
But I don’t have them any more.

My shop is 4 pulls for $65. That allows the car to cool down a little between pulls.
