Dynamatting Bose speakers

I've been contemplating throwing some dynamat around the stock Bose stereo system. Honestly, it's not the worst sound system in the world, quite good for stock, and it's a lot better than my past cars. Anyone ever done it? I figure it won't hurt until I get my sound setup all worked out. I'm no amateur to dynamat and its done me good in the past, just lookin for some reviews if any

seems like a waste since the stock speakers are hardly loud enough, unless you are planning to change them out for some speakers with more power.

Definitely putting better speakers in with an amp, headunit, wiring, etc. when the tax return check comes in. Just seeing if it would even make a difference because I have all this dynamat sitting around. Maybe it would just save me some time in the long run. Again, I'm just thinking out loud

I put Dynamat in the car many years ago. I had been intending on changing the speakers, but I got too lazy, maybe I will do it this summer. I did have a sub and amp in the back at the time. The Dynamat got rid of my trunk rattle. There seemed to be better bass in the car after the Dynamat, even when the sub was off. The bass was a little lower and a little louder/cleaner...nothing like the bass from the sub, but still a slight, but noticeable difference. Of note, I only put Dynamat in the doors and trunk and even then I did strips of Dynamat rather than covering everything (except for the behind the speakers where I covered everything) as from what I have read up on, it isn't necessary to completely cover the whole panel in Dynamat.

Did you have the speakers hooked up the aftermarket amp or was it just the sub? I'm running all stock bose equipment and I think it sounds great for what it is, but there is plenty of room for improvement. I'm a sucker for clean bass and sound so I'm trying to make whatever improvements I can until I get my system set up this summer.

I just have the sub hooked up to the amp. With the dynamat, the stock speakers sound a little cleaner and a bit more and lower bass(nothing like a sub though). Of course it could just all be in my head and wanting some return on the time spent on dynamatting!

If your going to dump the stock stuff soon, just wait till you do that. No sense doing it 2 times.
If you want to just improve the sound now. Place some material under the rear seats & rear carpet. Maybe line the trunk. Cut down on road noise.
Add a small cheap powered sub like a basslink or any number of small 10" powered units available will help a lot.

I agree with fuzzy. Collect parts first then do it all at once.
