Drove a Supra today!!

I just drove my buddy's '97 Supra TT at lunch. Holy f*cking f*ck, is that thing sweet!! I didn't beat on it, cuz it ain't mine, but I did have a little fun. Although, if traffic on 128 weren't so bad at midday, I would have done more. He said I didn't even reach fuel cutoff, so he wasn't at all worried about me driving it. It pulls like a motherf*cker...in 5th gear!! The turbos make such a lovely sound, and the BOV is the greatest damn noise ever made in a car. He has a nice system in his car, too, but I would never even bother listening to anything other than the car. His car isn't tuned right yet, cuz he's been doing all kinds of crap to it, but its best dyno is 413 whp and 441 wtq. Good grief!!

I so wish I could afford a SupDog!!

to BOV!!

I'm stuck with a 3rd Gen...I'd love to have a 93-up TT.

Ever since the Fags & Ferocious came out, the price has been sky-high on the TT's.

those cars are unreal , my buddy has one with a single turbo and tons of other things 650 rear wheel horse power ( he has been builing it for a couple years) and it runs mid 10's when he spools up the turbo at lets it go you can't even lean forward!

My buddy drove down to the sub shop today, and at one point, with the top off, my glasses were knocked off my face. He was doin' about 120, I think, and it was pullin' like f*ck!! One amazimg thing about this car is the brakes. He has stock brakes on right now and they grab unbelievably. At one point he slammed 'em on, and I jerked forward in my seat. I'm surprised I don't have a bruise on my chest from the seatbelt. He has Brembo 4-pistons waiting to go on, but he hasn't done it yet.

Another kid I know around here just put a big single in, but he blew his motor on the dyno...too lean. He's waiting for the lower end to be redone.

It has been a while since I've driven a manual, and his clutch (not stock) has to go pretty far, but then it grabs like a bastard. Not a car I'd wanna teach anyone on. I think his clutch can handle 1200 hp, or something obscene like that.

I'd suggest you bring your CL-S up for him to play with, but he's driven mine. Of course, mine's not a 6-speed.

haha..... yeah I dunno what I was thinking...... car is fine, just makes some strange sounds from underneath once in a while, perfectly normal I'm sure. kidding. only bad thing you did was let out the clutch all the way, at idle, in 4th gear!!! remember how it was lurching? yeah I only realized later that I should have asked you to put the clutch pedal back down all the way!!! now.... I'm just waiting to drive YOUR car........

yes - it's not the BEST car to learn on - but I figured, if someone can learn on THIS car with THIS heavy damn clutch, then that person can drive pretty much any other manual tranny car, certainly a bone stock 350Z... also my little sister has driven my car before, so I figured how bad would it be for Synth19...... BIG mistake!!!!!!!! kidding.

Any supra in the $20-25K range probably has 150K or more on the odometer...

All the low(er) mileage cars go for >$30K.

It's a damn shame really...they are beautiful cars...body still looks up to date even though it's 10 years old...

Not really, you can find 93&94's w/ 80K+ miles for about 24k. The prices arent as bad as when fast and the stupidest came out. Since then they have been dropping off some. My buddy just bought a stock 93TT w/ 90k for 20 thousand. It is incredible.

The sickest is damn i can't think of which tuning company it was with 900+rwhp on a stock block...

I wanted one 2 yrs ago, but the insurance would of killed me.

thanks for the test drive, Synth19.

definitely changed my outlook on this car, I like it a lot better now. I thought it was just OK before, but after driving it, I do like it better.

I need to move then

I need to move near you then because they are going for near $30K with over 100K miles around here. Here's one with 34K miles going for $42K.
