Drove a Supra today!!
I just drove my buddy's '97 Supra TT at lunch. Holy f*cking f*ck, is that thing sweet!! I didn't beat on it, cuz it ain't mine, but I did have a little fun. Although, if traffic on 128 weren't so bad at midday, I would have done more. He said I didn't even reach fuel cutoff, so he wasn't at all worried about me driving it. It pulls like a motherf*cker...in 5th gear!! The turbos make such a lovely sound, and the BOV is the greatest damn noise ever made in a car. He has a nice system in his car, too, but I would never even bother listening to anything other than the car. His car isn't tuned right yet, cuz he's been doing all kinds of crap to it, but its best dyno is 413 whp and 441 wtq. Good grief!!
I so wish I could afford a SupDog!!
to BOV!!

those cars are unreal , my buddy has one with a single turbo and tons of other things 650 rear wheel horse power ( he has been builing it for a couple years) and it runs mid 10's when he spools up the turbo at lets it go you can't even lean forward!

My buddy drove down to the sub shop today, and at one point, with the top off, my glasses were knocked off my face. He was doin' about 120, I think, and it was pullin' like f*ck!! One amazimg thing about this car is the brakes. He has stock brakes on right now and they grab unbelievably. At one point he slammed 'em on, and I jerked forward in my seat. I'm surprised I don't have a bruise on my chest from the seatbelt. He has Brembo 4-pistons waiting to go on, but he hasn't done it yet.
Another kid I know around here just put a big single in, but he blew his motor on the dyno...too lean. He's waiting for the lower end to be redone.

yes - it's not the BEST car to learn on - but I figured, if someone can learn on THIS car with THIS heavy damn clutch, then that person can drive pretty much any other manual tranny car, certainly a bone stock 350Z... also my little sister has driven my car before, so I figured how bad would it be for Synth19...... BIG mistake!!!!!!!! kidding.

Any supra in the $20-25K range probably has 150K or more on the odometer...
All the low(er) mileage cars go for >$30K.
It's a damn shame really...they are beautiful cars...body still looks up to date even though it's 10 years old...

just had the PLEASURE of driving THIS car !!!!!!! Beautiful, just beautiful... More pics coming later.......
thanks for the test drive, Synth19.
definitely changed my outlook on this car, I like it a lot better now. I thought it was just OK before, but after driving it, I do like it better.

I need to move then
I need to move near you then because they are going for near $30K with over 100K miles around here. Here's one with 34K miles going for $42K.
