The drive back from Santa Barbara
Drove about 100 miles at 100-110 mph with a Celica GTS, it was a chick and a stick and she couldn't pass me which was surprising because I had three people and a full trunk. As we're going along she gets behind me, and out of nowhere a 89 5.0 Mustang flies by me. I stomp on the gas and get up past 90, he's still pulling all over me, has me by at least ten cars, then I got to about 120 and was able to start to gain on him. This was all on a slight uphill. I got to 130 and was only about 5 cars back. Still at WOT I pass him going 138. Thats right first gen 2.2 owners, 138.
I took a picture with my camera phone of the speedometer, if I can ever figure out how to sync it with my computer I'll post it. Keep in mind we had long stretches of open freeway so it wasn't really unsafe. The guy was a nice guy, we spoke at a gas station after about four races that stretched over like 20 miles. He said he was going WOT the whole time. Apparently these Mustangs don't have great high end. A real fun night, and we made it from SB to Saint Mary's in just over 4 hours, Mapquest said it would take 5 1/2! Not bad.

The car wasn't really slow at 125+, surprisingly.

I have a Nokia 3650 cell phone with the pic on it, and a Dell D600 with bluetooth. If anybody knows how to transfer images I'd be glad to post it.
