Door panel...arm rests!

Has anyone had an issue with the door panel arm rests separating from the plastic piece where the power window buttons sit? I'm having separation on both driver and passenger side. Anyone have a fix? Anyone have to order if so from where and what price?

Like this?

I think the only real fix is to replace the panel.

Look at the FAQ. I think it's in there how to fix it.

Yes, exactly like that...it bugs me to see it. Harv, did you order yours?

I will continue to look on FAQ's...

theres no magical trick. u gotta remove the door panel and glue and clamp that POS in place.

I don't even use that frigging arm rest and it still came loose like that.

I just used some quick set glue held it there for 5 mins and then it held.. but it aint perfect.

but it didn't bother me enough to warrant the full shAbang.

harv...my thoughts exactly, might try something different first.

Mine began to separate a two years ago. I took the door panels off, re-glued them and clamped them. Unfortunately, they have started to separate ever-so-slightly. I used upholstery glue last time. This time I may use something a bit stronger. It seems that the more time the car spends in the sun without interior protection, the quicker they come up. They were coming up on my friend's car years before they began to separate in mine. The fix is relatively easy as long as you have a bit of patience with the door panels, they can be a bit of a hassle to get off cleanly. Good luck! I'll be out there doing it again soon!.
