Donation for today's tragedy!
I'm sure most of you know by now the horrible incidents that occured today. Many lives were lost and many children will not be without parents, brothers, sisters, etc. I know some of us are very fortunate so I was thinking that besides giving blood what more can I do?
What do you guys think about setting up or starting a fund raiser to donate money to those that weren't so fortunate in today's tragedy. Soopa, I'm down if you are and I would ask one of the moderators to set up a "Sticky" for this and if someone can coordinate, or I will if everyone is okay with that to collect all the money and send it to either RED CROSS, or whatever charity is accepting donations on their behalf.

I think that's a fantastic idea. If they'll agree to do it, I'm on board. And even if not, we can always post information about charity groups that are accepting individual donations.

You can call 1-800 HELP NOW or visit the online donation system at the Red Cross: https://www.redcross.org/donate/donation-form.asp and select 'Disaster Relief Fund.' If you are experiencing problems while donating online, it is due to extremely heavy volume on the Web site. Just try again later in the week or call the 800 number.

Also since this other thing happened (wtc) don't forget to still save your money after you fix your bumper because gasoline might jump to $6 a gallon.
It's nice to see some people who can look at the big picture.

Everyone, thank you all for the support. I don't have to say this but this donation is for something more important than our forums, cars, etc. We TL folks already started a drive and setup a PayPal account. You can donate into the PayPal or do it yourself directly (if you feel more comfortable that way) Our goal was to send in a lump sum on behalf or acura TL/CL.com and keep the phone lines open for those that wanted to give. We wanted to make it as easy as possible for all those relief funds. We're gonna slip up the donations into several funds. One to the families, the other to the police/firemen/EMS that were lost in this tragedy. Thanx everyone. Here is the link we have going over at the TL forum.

You can also donate through this board, then we'll just make one big donation. The link below is from the new forum Soopa created for this tragedy....
