I rolled up to a new caddy at a stop light. i'm thinking, "wonder if it's the cts-v or just a cts since i wasn't paying attn when i pulled up. i put the cl in 1st and take off casually as does he. i roll on the throttle at 10mph and the friggin intake starts howling but i catch him off guard and he's at my rear tire. he nails it and flies by me like i'm standing still
and chirps 2nd gear hard but i'd already given up.

Has anyone ever heard of a package or badging that would replace the CTS with "XTiC" or something like that? There's one that parks on Cross St. in Fed Hill all the time and I can't find out any info about it. The first time I saw it I figured it was a CTS-V judging by the grille... but no. I've seen it twice... next time I will try to snap a pic.

The '06 will have a 6L LS2. They aren't out quite yet. The '04 and '05 still have the 5.7L LS6 from the previous ZO6.
Alot of regular CTS cars have the V grill...but the lower front bumper is still different on the V (it has brake cooling ducts that come in through the front).

I'm getting the blower in the spring
Should be good for about 460hp/430tq at the rear wheels.

The interior design has grown on me a little but I still think my '01 CLS had better sport seats, better leather, better fit and finish and better stereo (and the CLS bose sucked).

I did a brief 2nd gear run with Allout in his S/C 6-spd CLS last wknd and I was 'oh-so-barely' pulling on him up top. He has the stock blower pulley. I think it would be a driver's race btwn the two...though the RWD would have a slight advantage from a dig.
