But the question, why did he lose control? he was on the black top! unless there was an oil patch or some slippery crap.. he should not lose control.

that is definately a driver's school. note the instructor in the seat next to him that should've been bitching at him to take the keys out of the ignition, relax, and don't open the door.
he lost the rear end, that happens to m3's in front of me all the time especially if I am pushing them in the rain. he shifted and accelerated through the apex of the corner, which is a big no-no. that is why he lost it.
you do not disconnect the airbags.

that's freaky that the bags didn't go off then. I hear way to many stories about bags not going off in serious accidents.
