SO i ran my friend a couple of times and we were dead even, all i had was injen intake/spacer kit. I put on xs headers on last night so we ran tonight. I only put one car length on him. I was expecting for at least 2. He has a 00 si, type r header/cai/exhaust i think. I have a 01 auto type s.

 

hmm, you should have beet him by a car length the first time in my opinion.
my car is stock and i beat new si's all day by a car length.

yea if the 18s areur typical heavy no racing rim & u hve more than 1 sub n the trunk it will def add alot of weight to the car &make teh wheels move slower

 

Your friend can obviously drive his car well(not many people can). Those 00 SI's really scoot with mods. Stock they run high 15's but with his mods he should be in the low 15's with traps around 92MPH with a great driver. You should have beat him by alot more though but attribute that to your heavy 18's! Also your ECU will have to adjust to your new headers. It depends on how often you drive but you are getting alot more flow out of the headers so after your ECU adjusts race him again and I guarantee you will beat him by another car or so. Switch to your 17's and it will be like adding another mod! Your 18" wheels kill acceleration!

I forgot to add that he has 15inh wheels and no cat. And yeah this kid shifts perfect, sounds like 8k. I will race him again and see how it goes.

 

I do ss and shift perfect. Spin a lil at line tho.
